Another beautiful day, almost too warm!  Most of us were down a few points from last month except Carlos.  He started out slow, but caught on in the prone events and improved his score by 175 points over last month.  Since he drove from Rochester, NY to shoot we are pleased to see him having some success!  We got all the targets patched up for next month before lunch was brought to us.  I’ll bet no other match served anything even close to the wonderful food we enjoyed.

The “Gun Economy” is responding to the “Stimulus” provided by the recent election.  Guns are selling like hot cakes and ammunition as well.  CMP surplus Greek 06 is temporarily sold out even though the price has jumped several times in the last year.  Firearms manufacturers are backlogged with orders and dealer stocks of ammo are the lowest since WWII.  Do you suppose people are spending their stimulus checks on guns and ammo?

It’s a crazy world.

See you next month,

Remember to contact one of the following if you want to shoot in the afternoon relay in May.  That will save us from waiting around until 1:30 only to have nobody show up.

Pete Mathews (398-4368)

Dave Dunkle   (398-4052)
