Tactical

Mark this day for a record twenty shooters! And, two guys stepped back from the last relay or we could have had more shooters if there had been room. We had several new shooters, new to us anyway, and we confused ourselves as to who was whom and hope we got the correct rifle matched to the right shooter. If it bothers anybody, please get back to me and I'll get it right!

I don't think anybody should be ashamed of their score today. In fact several excellent scores were shot. Gary Dickerson had the best score of the day (473-7X) and a nice 100 in rapid sitting. Caleb didn't get a shot on the target when shooting sighters, but he found the target in the standing position. A nice recovery from impeding disaster! Four guys shot .22's, one guy a 9mm and another shot a .300 Black Out. The only bolt gun used was the .22 bolt gun with a scope.

It has been ten years now that matches have been held a the Springs Rod & Gun Club It is very nice to see growth in the number of shooters. There were years when we wondered if it was worth holding matches. Now we are faced with figuring out how to add a relay to accommodate the number of shooters. The addition of a .22 class has had something to do with it.

Thanks to all who shot, without you guys none of us would have fun.

Thanks again,

Pete, Dave and Nate
