A lovely day! As usual some shot very well and others had some nice scores in a position or two , but not so good in others. Duane Koller had his best score in off hand, Phil Right showed great improvement across the board. Others showed improvement as the match progressed. A sign that they were finding themselves and have potential. The first time shooters had the usual troubles – rapid shots still have to be properly aimed, you have to know your rifle and position and so on. It was nice to have a young lady shooting with us. She has potential and will be a very good shooter with practice.
New shooters, do not be discouraged with your first match. We all struggled early-on and most of us learn something new at every match we shoot in. Shoot to better your best score you have shot before, not against the best score of the day! Inevitably there is a better shooter out there that you may never beat. You will have more fun if you shoot to better yourself. Above all, do not be discouraged!
